    • Aggregates cannot be economically transported by truck from areas more then 30-50 miles on congested freeways.
    • Over 28 WashDOT projects that total over $100 million have been identified in Puget Sound area.
    • By 2010, existing long-haul sources will account for 3.0 mta, with 4.0 mta needed above current supply.
